Same with TomTom - you end up on pointless detours for the sake of it which get irritating and often end up on gravel-strewn tracks which Hugh is not suited to at all. Much prefer to use Tyre "tracks" I've worked out in advance or just use the avoid motorways option and if I feel like a detour then just take it, letting TT keep me heading in the right direction overall once it has recalc'd.
