I have put YSS PD valves (cartridge emulators) in my front forks with stock springs, shorter spacers made out of PVC drain pipe, Silkolene RSF 7.5W.
Rebound holes sealed up with Loctite 3471 (cured overnight at 50 C in the oven), compression holes enlarged to 10 mm.
It's almost like a new bike. Bit too plush at 2 turns of emulator preload, now at 3 turns it feels bit too stiff but it absorbs big bumps easily.


New springs/oil can definitely wait a few months. Best spent £100 so far, just after the stock length dog bones (to bring the bike back up to stock height).
