Default Re: Moving on from owning SVs

A friend has "Vikings" condition (Dupuytren's) where things grow together in his hands and causes problems with grip etc. (one little finger already removed).
He moved through various bikes to ease things and now has a Tracer with quick-shift and cruise which makes European touring still easily achievable for him.

I don't have such issues (yet!) but since 2013 I've owned an NC700 DCT which I use for touring, and although it's a bit of a Marmite thing, until you've lived with a DCT (or similar) you don't realise just how tiring and inconvenient having to use a clutch and gear lever can be, especially on long day's rides and in town traffic etc.

It's great that there are so many options available to us nowadays to prolong the riding.
