Hello mate,it is merely an acknowledgement by the forum powers that be that a person has made a contribution towards the upkeep of the site,(which earns no fees for adverrtising etc and is provided as a free facility to the users.
Donating is as I understand purely voluntary and not all that have donated have the tag next to their name.
You are not in anyway obliged to contribute and this point has always been left to the individual.
