+1 to all the above. If I remember right, Fuel Exhausts sell a reconnection sleeve for remounting the standard exhaust for about a tenner.

And several of the aftermarket exhaust makers (Black Widow, etc) sell removable dB killers for about a tenner, like Biggles said.

If you want to keep the stubby look then as a rule of thumb, stubby cans are louder and raspier than a conventional-size can. However, I've heard a couple of SV650s now with the GRmoto small cans on (and the dBkiller fitted) and they sound quite mellow and only a tiny bit louder than stock at idle and lower rpm. GRmoto also does an offer on this forum (I'm not affiliated to them in any way, etc etc)
