i got caught at 117mph two up on my africa twin in 1998 on the m25 by surrey traffic plod at 10.30 at night, I already had an sp30 (fixed camera - DOH!) the copper was seriously impressed that I had managed to get that much out of it.
they commented on my good lane discipline, indicating and the fact that I knew where they had started following me (but being a **** I still didnt slow down! - DOH! no 2) they said because of my attitude, the condition of my bike, and the good riding (other than the speed) they would normally send me on my way with nothing more than a word of advice, however because i had full leathers etc but my pillion only had jeans, trainers and a paddock jacket they gave me 3 points and £60 fine. best thing was it had never even crossed my mind as the pillion had her own bike and was an experianced rider. made me think. fairest coppers i've ever met.
got caught a few months later wheeliing down barkingside - got a cd10 and £180 (DOH! no 3)
insurance????? I was shafted regardless........
