I think the answers are all already in the first post.
If you're looking for a cheap shock, there are plenty of suitable ones without going down the Hagon/Nitron/Ohlins route. If it's about the right length and the right spring rate it should work. There are lists compiled by helpful people all over the internet to help you compare.
I think mine was from a K4 GSXR 600, but this is by no means the only good match. It doesn't sound like the S1000RR is one though.
