Yep, 18 gauge aluminium. We have tons of the stuff at work so for me its pretty cheap and helps that I'm used to working with it.
I also contacted my powder coat guy yesterday (everyone's got one, right?!), and he claims he can colour match the ducati paint and quoted me £30 to do the lot
I know the finish of powder coating wont quite be as good as a decent paint job but i don't want to be spending loads on something i might not like when complete!
