How appropriate is that Geo? I grew up on the Hoo Marina caravan site almost opposite the dockyard. The British method of defence against this particular sortie by the Dutch involved hanging a large chain across the Medway from, I believe, St Mary's Island to Upnor. As can be seen from the result it failed spectacularly!
