running it really lean will damage your engine. I've got one of mine de snorkelled, but it has been re jetted to suit. If I put a snorkelled filter in now, it runs really carp. I would imagine it would be the same if you were to have standard jets with a de-snorkel.

The airbox is there for a reason, wouldn't want any kack in the rest of your bike would you?
