I guess these bikes are large capacity and push out a lot of bhp. That bhp has to come from somewhere probably by getting more air/fuel into the engine. I do wonder also if the increased emissions features also affect mpg. VFR went from 750 to 800 cc to cater for emission regulations whilst keeping the power output the same. Similar with the GS.
