as i dont have any tools with me at the moment i took the bike to a shop, turns out the carb o rings had dried out and shattered and bits went in the floats preventing them flom closing causing the bike to flood when anything more than idle was used. so a carb rebuild is in order along with a good service since its already on the bench.
