The stand I have is essentially the same (
, copy? no, never) as the Abba. The stubs are made of silversteel, readily available in all sorts of sizes and a lot stronger than your average bolt.
The only other things I'd suggest is black finish capscrews, usually 10.9 or better steel and probably up to the job if you can find the appropriate size.
