I think you generally need to identify the target audience. There are sectors where appearance and image are more important than the individual behind and this is so true in advertising where the public rarely have the time or inclination to look to deeply. Posters, flyers and such like are all designed to capture the publics attention and nothing is more effective at that than sex is. Once you have their attention then you might be in a position deliver the rest of your message. If you don't believe me ask yourself which part of the above photos you looked at first, and what was the first difference you spotted?
