I cleaned my bike on Saturday morning, after a trip to Liz's 100 mile round trip. It was minging again this morning and its now turned a nice white salty colour. When I washed it, it had a layer of mud and dirt sat on top of the can
that was a good 1cm deep.
TBH I dont really clean it fastidiously in the winter, I just wash it when its get so bad you cant read the back number plate anymore. Its a thankless task trying to keep it clean in winter, just ride it and enjoy it.
I Just make sure I keep the mirrors and headilghts, brake light and indicators clean.
I like the challenge that riding in winter poses. Mind you I think I might be a little bit mad
