Pretty much all the legislation on immigration (including the so called musl1m ban ) was bought in under democrats, in fact original list used by Trump was compiled by Obarmy, it is only when trump actually applied the laws that crybaby democrats threw their dummies out the pram. The legislation to prosecute illegal border crossers also predates trump, adults can be prosecuted for illegal entry but not children, so they have to be split. The easy answer is, if you don't want to be separated from your kids, stay on your side of the border and apply through the proper channels. We have moved country several times and filled in a mountain of paperwork each time, as well as medical and criminal checks.
Australia solved their massive 'boat people' problem by not letting them set foot on Australian soil ( the minute they do they are hard to get rid of because the do-gooders employ lawyers to allow them to remain, but strangely will not let them live in their houses). Since they diverted all economic migrant boats to PNG the boats have stopped.
Italy has now stopped accepting economic migrant taxi ships run by NGO's from Libya so they will be shipped to Spain and France now. Italy said ' you may not mind 600, but wait until 660,000 get delivered to you. The NGO's are just aiding and abetting the people traffickers by running a marine taxi service from North Africa to Europe WTF! how can they justify that when some boats are only 5 miles off the coast of Africa when they pick them up, why not take them back to dry land in Libya, vast majority are not fleeing war zones but are pure and simply economic migrants (illegal), mostly male under 25.
