Done that run a few times now, up the Elan valley then right after the metal bridge, then just follow that road down through Cwm Ystwyth to Devil's Bridge. If you turn left at Devils Bridge, you follow a B road into Aber for lunch. OR rather than go to Aber, you can turn right at Devils Bridge to get to the A44 about halfway between Aberystwyth and LLangurig for a loop back to Rhayader.
