I think that
is the point. If it's a tribute bike it should have a passing resemblance to the original, the Z900RS does, the Honda does not.
What is strange is that Honda had a better bike to use as a basis for a tribute, one that was already well down the retro path; the CB1100EX. They, themselves, even call it a Modern Classic. I wonder if the bike's picture I posted was a bored intern's Photoshop doodle.
