depends on the years you ride IMO, newer bikes seem to be more of a "perch on top" position. The new R1 feels like you're sat on the tank.

I personally can't get along with newer sports bikes, I find them too small. I found the big bang R1 more comfortable than the normal version (prior 3cyl) and i very nearly bought one, but my wallet sprung shut like Arkwright's till
