Default Re: SV650sy - the past eight years.

Cracking post Gary, still have my curvy after just over 19 years. Has taken me to several places in the UK plus the TT in 2000 & 03 and the Classic/Manx in 2015 & this year. Rode up from Kent to the last pub before the Steam Racket terminal in Heysham and another curvy, a pointy plus a SV1000 were in the car park! Also encountered another curvy at the Crosby Hotel watching the Newcomer Manx GP with the owner and his father.

Apart from keeping the battery topped up with the occasional session on the Optimate never any problems with it as it's mostly ridden on decent days and it gets laid up properly just before the salt spreading starts. I have ridden other bikes but none really made me want to change although the Triumph 675 came close!

My father has got old British bikes so as it's such a fun machine to ride I always had the idea of looking after it and keeping it long enough that it would be preserved.
