Replacing O.E. Suzuki gauges with aftermarket ones is just as likely to be awkward on resale. The golden rule is that standard bikes always sell best (or ones with what are widely considered to be desireable mods. e.g. an aftermarket rear shock).
Personally I generally wouldn't touch any roadbike with non stock gauges unless it was very cheap as I'd just assume it had either been in an accident or done a very high mileage (prior to the speedo change) or both.
Plus I'd probably hate the new gauges and just want to fit original Suzuki ones anyway.
In short, if you are concerned about future resale, keeping your bike looking like Mr. Suzuki intended is definitely your best option.
