Default 2009 sv650s 2 white wires in tank at pump

Does it matter where the two white wires connect? They look like two thermistors attached to the external side of the fuel pump housing.

I'm guessing that if you reverse them it would show low fuel when tank is full (but I don't have a Gen 2 SV). Anyway, here's a link to a video showing someone dismantling a fuel pump and as he twists and turns the pump you get glimpses of the thermistor connections:
