Some of the road tests I've read mentioned the twitchy handling on the Hornet along with its off idle abruptness. I sat on one and it fits me better than my GSX since I'm short. What made me pick the GSX was the mid-range torque, the fact I trust my Suzuki dealer and the fact the nearest Honda dealer is much further away.

I didn't notice the off idle abruptness. My old VFR was very bad for that so maybe anything else seems so much better. People on the TA forum talk about fueling issues, I can't say I've had any problems.

We visited the Flaxmill in Shrewsbury on Sunday. Worth a look if you're passing but not the biggest museum, more of a work in progress.

Had a nice one, thanks Gary. Didn't do a great deal - couple of spins out on the bike, a bit of languishing in the sun, daughter popped in for a visit.

Was very humid and sticky here today, so had another lazy day (like any other day for me, as my son frequently informs me. He's just jealous of me being retired ).

Been meaning to visit the Flaxmill for a while. They have a decent cafe there too.

Busy couple of days coming up. Daughter Eleri has finished her 2nd year of comp.sci at Caerdydd and is off to work for the met office in Exeter for 12 months. I'm driving down to Caerdydd tomorrow to collect her and all her stuff, and then taking her down to her new accommodation in Exeter. I'll crash at her new place overnight and then we'll both come back here tomorrow before she goes to meet friends at Blists Hill for a steampunk festival on Saturday.

More relaxing day today though; I'm walking with a small group of friends.

Can she sort the weather out a bit when she's at the Met Office, Gary? A nice, warm, dryish Autumn would be nice for a start
