hi Bibio, all servicing and work on bike done by myself, service upto date except for spark plugs, also new chain and sprockets probably due, which could be cause of noise? Although never had this noise before last chain and sprocket change.

I thought chain but that would be same regardless of clutch situation... Could noise be masked though by engine until clutch pulled in and it idles?

hi glang, doing a moderate speed, then close throttle noise appears, you hear the noise above the noise of the engine braking, clutch kill noise dead, let clutch out noise reappears as long as throttle still shut and engine is braking, open throttle noise disappears, cant remember what happens with a 'neutral' throttle. will try neutral throttle next time on bike. if bike stationary, no noise, clutch in or out. could be week or two before on bike, as riding my other bike at mo. ps could be chain noise when closing throttle as clutch would take 'load' off the chain?
