Not a Great Day All Round...

Anyone top this for a day yesterday?

Start off by the wind blowing my Garage Door shut at 6am, thus locking me out of the house with no key or Mobile phone. Had to wake the missus up by battering the Doorbell...

Drive up to work (late due to the garage door incident), end up stuck behind a Police Car, no 'good progress' to be made there then...

Finally get to Dumfries, drop the car off to get it's MOT and get a lift to work from a mate.

Absolute ****'ter of a day at work, topped off by the garage saying the car's failed it's MOT, and there's a lovely quote of £360+ to fix it.

Get dropped off after work, pick car up & head home to swap it for the bike. Decide to go via the Police Station to report a minor ding last week from some bint at Stirling Services (opened her car door into mine, dunted my door & drove off).

Wait at the Police Station for about an hour, whilst receiving hassle from a Jakie/Junkie that's also waiting there. After about 15 mins of this tosser's hassle, and after him trying to grab me in a head lock, he gets shoved into the wall & told in no uncertain terms to go & **** himself or I'd ruin his day.

Lightbulb Moment!! I'm in the front foyer of a Police Station, about to give some scumbag a shoeing, in front of CCTV and probably anything up to 100 Feds. Decide now's probably neither the time, nor place for it, and the Junkie eventually leaves.

Statement taken about the car, 'nothing we can do mate sorry, needed to be reported sooner & at the local station'

An hour+ of my life spent sat waiting whilst being pestered by some stinking vagrant ****, that I'll never see again... Only to be told I can't be helped.

RIGHT, Fine. Ok, fair enough I say, and head off home to dump the non MOT'd car.

Get about 300 yards from the Cop-Shop, when a Stagecoach Bus decides he doesn't like my car much, and scrapes his monstrosity along the side of it.

What the **** is happening here!?!?!

Get out of the car to have a 'quite word' with the Bus Driver, who floors it & drives off.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gather a couple of witness' details & storm to Stagecoach's offices, report it & end up waiting there for about an hour whilst they try & track down the driver.

Decide to call it a day (still have to go back to see the Plod to report my car being hit, not 2 hours after telling them my car'd been hit.

End up seeing the same copper again as earlier, to call him sceptical would be an understatement.

"C'mon, let's have a look at your car then" he says.

"No can do Chief, it's at my pals house, I was on my way home with it, it's got no MOT and didn't want to get done for driving it without it." I reply.

"You are having a laugh yes? You're telling me that your car that you were driving, that's got no MOT, was hit by a bus? You'll end up with a £60 fine for this you know!?"

After much protesting he finally agrees I was only taking it home from the MOT centre & I'm sent on my merry way.

It was 11:30pm before I got back to my folks place (not even my own house because my bike helmet is 30 miles away at home...)

Time to give up & call it a lost cause I think!

The worst thing is, I've been toying with selling the car and just buying an older Diesel (something that's not too fussy about the type of fuel it gets, nudge nudge etc).

Having dunts on both sides will no doubt send it's value plummeting so I really really hope I get a good / slightly persuadable repair man...
