SV650sy curvy with fuel injection engin?

I constantly hear and read posts about people having problems with there SV650 curvys with carb icing, not running smoothly, strange power restrictions when there shouldnt be and random cut outs. And then the little light in my head said why dont you change the engin from a carb to injected. so the question i pose is...

is it possible to drop a fuel injected engin from the pointy SV into a curvy frame?

This is only becuase i love the looks of the curvy and the pointy isnt for me.

It's not a straight fit. Not even sure it will fit at all.

Sorta. But very hard to do it and keep the throttle bodies, a bit easier to do it and fit carbs to it but that'd miss the point you're shooting for I reckon. Honestly, the SV FI isn't brilliant, you don't get carb icing but in most other ways it's very much like the carbs.

You wanna buy a curvey and then buy a pointy engine to put in it? What's you money/sense ration? He he he. I think there are things you can do to stop carb icing. Or you could get a pointy and a razor.

Is there much difference in the trigger coil/crank sensor assembly?

Also does the pointy use a cam position sensor?

Thinking fit the FI system to the curvy engine, not that I would be inclined to but could it be done?

I have No sense, No Ration and deffently No money. just a little visit to ponderland.

Wouldn't bother, just use Silkolene Pro FST for the carb icing.

I go to ponderland quite a lot but am a bit embarrassed to be seen walking the sreets with their carrier bags!
