I've ran me new bike in now and it really is starting to loosen up. I think its absolutely amazing even with a pillion fitted. The engine is very smooth and extemely powerful and the brakes are truly wonderful.
The bridgestones seem to grip like a grippy thing and it even does 110 miles before the light comes on. Now to the only problem. To have any fun with the engine on UK roads is illegal (even first gear nearly takes you to the national speed limit). It goes so fast that you only need first second and third on the roads if you're on the twisties!! Do any of you lot feel SuperSports are completely over the top for the road or am I just getting old? and have any of you ever considered trading a bike in because its too tempting to be naughty on it? |

That is exactly the reason i didn't buy the 08 fireblade!!!
I knew my licence would be gone within days, the good thing about the SV is you can wring its neck and still be at almost legal speeds (on a private airfield of course)! |

so it'll actually break the law in first gear!
Amazing. The twisties are great on the thing like but its very unnerving using pretty much second gear everywhere as the speed range it covers is amazing. |

Yes, but thats why I like it. I dont ride it nutter fast and I have now developed some self restraint, but its nice to know that the potential is there and I find I ride it slower than I did my SV, because I dont feel I have to prove myself all the time on my GSXR

I'm pretty sure that if you get caught in triple figures, you may as well tear your licence up on the spot.
Like kwak though, I just tend to use 2nd in town and 3rd/4th outside of that - to keep it in usable power in 5th, you need to be doing about 65-70 |
