Please be aware that dogs die when left in hot cars.
I'd thought pretty much everyone had that drummed into them by the time they were 8 years old, regardless of whether they had a dog or not. I was of the impression that only those with the IQ of an alsation were not aware of this simple fact. Every year we have a handful of stories and the RSPCA will duly roll out statements of dogs being "boiled alive" by mentally retarded owners. Until the police do it to their own dogs of course. Then it's just a "tragic accident". I know police are getting a bashing at the moment, and I'm happy to go along with the "few violent thugs ruining the reputation of the rest of the good apples" sentiment, but I didn't realise that to this we also need to add "few brain dead retards ruining the reputation of the rest of the force who can manage to tie their own shoelaces". I was of the impression that to be a police officer one needed a basic level of intelligence and some education such that you can make sense of the laws your supposed to enforce. If you don't know that summer is hot, cars get hotter, and dogs die when they get too hot then how are they expected to understand the Police & Criminal Evidence Act? What are the entry requirements for coppers these days? Have they changed or something? Last edited by MiniMatt; 02-07-09 at 02:50 PM. |

Neglect is on purpose, IMO. The police should have more common sense, surely, than to boil their dog to death.

I dont think its under the 'neglect' as much as the 'omission to act' side of cruelty, bet that officer wants to die himself, they get very attached to their dogs...something must have happened, you have to be pretty elite to get into the Dog Section so he couldnt have been THAT stupid, wonder if we are getting the full story. I personally think there is something missing from this story, any piece wouldn't just leave the dogs in there for a prolonged amount of time...
