Default V twin roar???

This is for all the Twinners who wax lyrical about the V Twin roar.

I was at the Hawes inn today in SQ and chatting to a bunch of bikers. Dukes, SVs, Harleys, Blades ZXs etc.

Anyways...we all heard a REALLY REALLY loud bike coming towards us from the high street direction. A few of the V twin guys started waxing about the V Twin sound and how it couldn't be beaten. They were all going listen to this it will be a raptor or a Duke with Termo cans on it...

So... you can imagine the total surprise/laughter/shock when a young guy rolled up on a
YZF-R125!!!

It was absolutely totally side splittingly hilarious (and I will admit to a huge amount of shock/surprise). Even I thought it was something like a raptor.

His bike had an aftermarket can of some sort and I kid you not this was louder than the bikes around us.

I think some of the guys are going to post this on their forums so I'll keep an eye out.

LOL and Kudos to the young guy on the 125

Yep, heard one of these before and thought it was either a big bike or a small bike without an exhaust, surprised myself with almost being fully correct with the latter.

Thinks so - they're fast as foo though (for a 4 stroke 125) I sometimes go for a jaunt with a kid on one and I've looked in the mirror and almost fallen off as I didnt expect him there at an indicated 09mph

spot the intentional typo

Hmm, no doubt that it's a single in that video, you could just about forgive it in this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytFKTREBRUg, but only 'cos it lets you hear the bike in the upper half of it's rev range. Lower down the phut, phut, phut is unmistakable and no can is going to hide it.

Singles can sound great, have you heard the optional Termigoni that comes with the DRZ400SM? Seriously addictive noise, just makes you wanna turn the throttle all the time.
