MOT time?

Hey,

My bike is a 56 reg, and done only 3600 ish miles, is it due for its MOT?

I realise I should know... but I don't...

Aside from the little scratches on fairing from tipping over when wheeling it about (yeah I'm an idiot), all seems grand.

Also when I need to take it for MOT, where would people advise (South Wales), do I got to JTS, Thunderroad, or GTs?

I'd recommend Motorcycle Tyre place (on road between Pontypridd and Porth), very good guys who won't mess about and you can watch it being done. Good place for tyres too.

A 56 plate is 2007. The first MOT is due 3 years after first registration. Assuming you've been the only owner, and you've been buying one years tax (not 6 months) every time, then your MOT is due just before you buy tax for the bike next year.

However, you'd do well to get the MOT a few months before the tax - I find it helps spread costs a little - especialy on the off chance that a vehicle fails it's MOT.

pull out the V5 and check first reg and add 3 years. Oh and remember to get it done a month before to give you time incase of problems.
