Interesting stuff. If I'd know this when I got my sv restricted I would have just bought a second hand restrictor off ebay, instead of going to the Suzuki dealer for the certificate.

and my local stealer charged me excessive amounts to restrict my sv they said they wasnt going to let me have the bike if it wasn't restricted and black horse finance was the only way to get a loan for my bike, i did talk them into the restriction for half price, 6 months tax and a free upgrate to a scorpion exhaust, so it wasn't a total loss.

So does that mean that anyone with a FI Certificate that they were sold on the advice by FI should be claiming their cash back because it was mis-sold to them?

No because unless there's a telephone recording of your conversion i doubt they could prove it was mis sold. However I imagine an e-mail to them would indeed trip them up into refunding it. |

I've been saying this for years.
Still on your head to check with your insurers whether you actually need a certificate. There is nothing to stop any insurer asking for/demanding one. Getting it in writing/recorded always good.

What about the trades description act?
The item was mis-sold to the customer by FI International or the dealers? Wasn't it? I know nothing, just throwing this out there. |
