With the Girlfriend...sorry wife...still getting used to saying that >_<, due in May she's put me on her car insurance so that she can start teaching me to drive prior to her giving birth.
10 Miles from home to the train staition through rush hour traffic and I have to say...I feel very smug with myself right now ![]() Perfect commute in, spotted a cyclist that the guy in front clearly didnt ![]() I was probably the only person in the sodding wet that left any kind of seperation distance and was in the right lanes and using those amazing devices we call indicators (though I did keep knocking the high beams on when using the indicators....) So I'd like to say it's official, biking is good for your driving ^_^. Now watch me eat my words and crash on the way home tonight lol! Last edited by PsychoCannon; 08-12-09 at 09:23 AM. |

*cough* ok on that note.....I admit that on a car lesson a decade or so ago I did try to *filter* through a motorbike sized gap in the car...good thing it has dual controls.
*What the!* - look across at instructor *Oh yeah...i'm in a car...sorry* |

I agree
Because id been riding before i started to learn to drive i did things like indicate, all my checks and move across to overtake a parked car etc and my instructor was impressed as he sais most people he would of had to of told, but then again one day i was driving with my Dad and i contuined like i was on my bike ![]() |

![]() the thing that annoyed me with the cage was it wouldnt pull away in second or third like the sv does meaning i had to change gear more often. ![]() |

Hah tell me about it!
That and not being allowed to engine brake by block shifting down =p, Bikes are clearly far superior to silly cages, but needs must when the devil prances ![]() |

When I was learning instructor always said my spacial awareness and surroundings were always well observed, probably something I'd picked up from riding a bike he said.
.. or just a characteristic men have that women don't? |
