Really big area there mate. I know a fair few good sites in France and Switzerland, but they may be miles from where you want to be. If I were you I would settle on a rough route then ask again so you get targeted recommendations.

I did 7 countries in two weeks in the Vee dub camper and it was ace, my favorite place was Neustift in Austria.

Neustift is absoulutely superb, there is a very well equipped camp site bang in the middle of the town with loads of restaraunts and bars plus the added bonus of being able to use the chair lifts to get up in the mountains with fantastic walks down. Do a search for Mieders alpine coaster or taboggan run, great fun and not far away from the site, there is also the Tyrol mountains which take 3 cable lifts to reach the summit, the views are breathtaking!

This area is a mecca for paragliding and it happens all day every day, some of the guys are pro's and do some amazing stunts. The landing area is 5 minutes walk from the site.

that is cool, but makes it hard to recommend sites as they are in specific places TBH I have found some great camp sites doing just that, so I'd say wing it! One thing that is really useful is to get to a reasonably sized town and find the Office du Tourisme, they will point you the direction of the camp sites around. The Camping Municipals are usually clean and cheap, so get to them if you can.

Lake Bodencee in Germany and lake Lucerne in Switzerland are worth adding to the list. If you go to Lucerne make sure you take a trip on the Uri paddle steamer, its one of the few left now which are still powered by steam and the engineering is amazing.

We've toured all through Europe two-up on an SV with both soft panniers and a topbox fitted. Never had a problem with the topbox, and it's useful to have somewhere totally dry and secure to keep important items, like documents and passport!

If you have a pointy, you can get a fitment for a pillion-seat topbox.
