Default MacBook woes

Hi Folks, my wife and I both have MacBooks (I know, a luxury but it stops us fighting...) but my one has stopped letting me go onto YouTube (hers is fine). My teenage daughter has a habit of borrowing it but on a rare occasion when she spoke to me she has promised she hasn't done anything to it...

Whenever I try and open YouTube it says "The application Safari has quit unexpectedly". Is anyone clever enough to tell me what might be up and what I can do about it please?

Thanks, RH

Dunno about Apple but it sounds like flash player is playing up

Can you uninstall and reinstall the flash plugin?

I presume you're running OSX 10.5 - Leopard?

This is a flash and Leopard issue - upgrading to Snow Leopard should fix it, AFAIK. My bro has this problem with his macbook and youtube, he has research and requested I upgrade his machine to Snow Leopard based on his findings. If you've a Macbook with a 64bit processor, you'll reap the benefits of the upgrade.

go to apple store, ask for snow leopard, pay like £20, install, enjoy new features and youtube , but yes it does sound like one of the plugins are breaking, hence making the browser exit! simple

What he said.

Have a look at what came with your wife's mac, she might have a Snow Leopard disk that you could use in yours. Otherwise, you're looking at £25 to upgrade, unless you follow slightly less commendable routes of obtaining it.
