Maybe try the tourist board about sleepin on the beach etc. I go to a small caravan site on Crantock bay but it might be a tad quiet for you, its not far from Newquay - about 10 mins drive. cant help with any of the others im afraid. But im sure Newquay Tourist place will have some good advice re cheap places to stay or student places to go.
OOh and have fun!! ![]() |

You cannot legally camp on the beach I don't think. They are really hot on people sleeping in their cars in car parks (takes money away from campsites) so assume it must be similar.
Check out Sennen Cove http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en...ed=0CDgQsAQwAw Great surf (4 wave break) dolphins usually swimming in the surf. Harbour, brilliant pub which is where most people that finish the John O Groats to Lands End run end up so some great stories. Restaurant is excellent anything fish as it's all locally caught. It's a village remember so no clubs or what have you but you can easily have a great time there its brilliant. There is a campsite up the hill called Whitesands Lodge or this place http://www.seaview.org.uk/camping.htm I have only stayed in Whitesands but that was ages ago n I think they stopped doing camping. Penzance (Menzpance) is only 10miles away with a Tesco for food and actually there is a really dodgy/when your ****ed hilarious club. Also there are mackerel fishing trips to enjoy or take a ferry out for the day to the Scilly Isles, hire a bike and cycle round the main island and then get ****ed in the pub in the harbour...good times. Of course you could always break up your trip by spending the first couple of days somewhere like that and then spend another couple in Newquay for more surfing and the nightlife. The surfing in sennen is the best I have experienced though.

sleeping on the beach is a no no anywhere in cornwall as said. I've gotten away with it once but i didn't have a tent just slept under the stars so to speak. newquay itself gets pretty hectic at night and there's usually a massive police presence, i personally wouldn't stay in newquay itself as if you do actually want to get some kip you wont plus its expensive. Most B&B's and campsite's in the area wont allow groups of lads or lasses. We stayed at trevella park but we got in as we were in couples, it was expensive but worth it, very nice site and the fishing lakes are awesome
![]() also alot of traffic plods in the area due to influx of chavs in the recent years so if your taking the bike or a chavy like car keep your eye's pealed its a good laugh, I've been meaning to go back this year Last edited by Wideboy; 15-07-10 at 04:56 PM. |

Awsome, can i come? Practically second home, we love it down there. We tend to stay at Newquay holiday park its a Parkdean site and is camping and caravaning, only about 4/5 miles from the centre and the bus goes right past it, bus in, taxi back, simples. Quite a few places to drink, 'Central' is a good start and most peeps end up in 'Berties Nightclub', both places are esy enough to find, just have a wonder its not that big.

Yes Newquay !
Go explore, theres much more to Cornwall than Newquay. You've got Perranporth a bit further down the coast, and IIRC Croyde a bit further up is popular with surfers as well and doesnt have the "P1ssed up beery lads stag weekend" vibe that Newquay has had the last time I went there...

err, in Newquay????
![]() If you've not surfed before have a look at the surf schools in / around Newquay (and all round the coast for that matter) as they will get you kitted up and drive you to the best local beach for learning on given the state of waves / tide etc. Other than that, get out and about and enjoy the place ![]()
