Default How long should it take a pro to fit an exhaust?

Just spoke to a fella (mechanic) who said it would take 2 hours to fit a exhaust, is this about right or is he taking the pish..?

about 30min with a power tool to cut the exhaust and about 40 min to a hour using a hand saw

Competent mechanic should take an hour max IMNSHO

Yep- took me about 20 mins with a hacksaw to remove the old exhaust and about the same again, with my Bro's help, to fit the new can.

Ask him if he has any jobs going where he works. I would like a nice easy going job where I get a couple of hours to cut through a pipe then tighten up a few bolts........

Do it yourself anyway, its a doddle.

You say fit an exhaust--do you mean an end can?--or a full system?
End can about 30-45mins
Full system OK 2hours providing nothing is siezed

Did he say; "it'll take 2 hours to fit" or "2 hours for your bike to be ready"

2 hours for exhaust 2 hours for springs 2 hours for braided hoses and an hour for the screen and filter, and he reckons 3 hours for rearshock oh rearset 1 hour
