Default paint fade?

Is paint fade a known issue on an SV, specifically with RED ones??

I have seen a couple now that seem to be quite a bit lighter than some others - just wondered if it was my eyes

Cheers

K5 Red is more purple

K6 Red is more orange

2 different, but similar reds.

ever seen a red car? they is baaaaaaaad for fading paint!

It happens to every paint, just some more noticeable than others. Doesn't help when people Tcut them all the time either. They don't get a tan in the sun, they fade. Leave it out in the sun in summer like most people and thats what it does.

I appreciate that

Just wondered if it was known to be more of an issue with certain paint codes

(I used to own a fiat coupe and the Speed Red colour was more commonly known as Speed Pink)

Get the colour cut back to red, then put regular coats of a good top wax on, it will stay red and not turn pink.
