Which is better and why?
Ive the suzuki gel seat on mine, and its very comfortable, but like the look of the corbin carbon effect ![]() So have been eyeing up the sargents too.. I would think the sargent & the corbin would be a slightly lower seating position looking at the pictures, which wouldnt be an issue for me at 6'3 Opinions ![]() |

make your own. gel is expensive so the makers of custom seats use it sparingly.
brilliant website on how to 'custom' make your own seat: http://www.diymotorcycleseat.com/other_ideas3.htm gel pads here: http://www.danmedicasouth.co.uk/shop...-gel-seat-pad/ the medium on the above website fits the SV pan perfectly once all the foam is removed. or you can shape it then fit pad in. if you shape it you can use the smaller gel pad. yes they are not cheep but worth every penny. i'll be doing another one soon so might do a 'how to' but this will be for short arzez such as myself. My corbin on my curvy is superb, 4 hours and my **** felt fine, hated the standard seat. It feels hard to the touch, but dont let that put you off. It also gives the bike a sleeker shape from the side too.

Apart from the much improved comfort I also found to my surprise that it gives a riding stance thats much more forgiving to the wrists. I put this down to the seat being approx 2 inches lower than standard. If you like the sensation of sitting in the bike instead of on it, then you'll like the Corbin. In other words, it gives a slightly better position for touring than for racing.

I had the standard, then a corbin and then a sargeant on my curvy. The sargeant was comfiest.

I have had a Suzuki OEM Gel, and personally I thought it was garbage. I placed an order for a sargent, but it was 4 weeks delivery. So I got my standard one re-done and it is awesome. No more ae5e ache and it only cost me £100.
