What is tyre section for?

Avon storms, had quite a few sets of these now. Pretty planted, plenty grip in dry, very good in the wet. Currently got 6000 or so on rear (storm ultra), with couple of mm left. Impressed

Had a set of BT016 on the sv when I bought it, they were crap, no feedback and awful in the wet.
Fitted a set of Avon Storm Ultra II and was amazed, chicken strips went from 20 mm on the BT016s to 0 mm on the Storms, they are also pretty good in the wet.

I've got a set of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsas on the Street R and they are amazing, took it to a wet track day at Mallory and had an absolute blast! The 50 mm of rubber at the side of the tire with no tread in it what so ever made Gerards corner a bit of a hop skip affair though....

Avon Storms, never had a problem with them but i'm not a loon who thinks that the roads are a race track i also never go over the speed limits and corner like i was going round a 50p piece. if you look at my tyres there is a strip in the middle and the rest is fresh rubber. but good god do i love to ride my bike come rain or shine.

Pilot road 2's. Good and gives confidence in wet and dry. Makes the bike feel and handle so much better than the bt020's that were on it.

I run Continentals on my bikes.

The SV has Road Attack II front and rear, which are great. I find them to be confidence inspiring and very grippy. I also got 8500miles out of the rear and the front would have kept going had I not picked up a big wood screw in the side of the tread.

However, my XJ has a set of cross ply Conti's on it and they feel listless in comparison. The rubber feels hard and slippery in the dry and in the wet they are terrifying!

My push bikes also run Continentals, Explorer Pro MTB tyres and some almost totally slick on the touring bike wheels. Very grippy, but my old Panaracers were better. Not sure why every bike I have has Continentals on them, it just worked out like that.

Running pr2'sat the mo had no issues wet or dry, same with storms i had before, currently just over 5000 miles on the rear and still got a fair bit of life left and as most of that has been two up i'm pretty happy.

RoadSmarts after SportSmarts...prefer the RoadSmarts for some reason :S They are pure confidence inspiring.

Maxxis Supermax. Good tyres, do what they are meant to, last well and don't cost a fortune.
