What is the proper name for this part?

Fitted some footrest risers, but having issues with the gear rod extender thiny.

Trying to google it but I think I'm calling it the wrong thing. Tried gear rod extender and gear arm extender...

That lead me to shift rod extender, which did the trick.

Brake side is on, didn't have to fiddle with the brake light spring as I first thought.
Gear side will be done tonight hopefully.

From just sitting on it, without gear and all that, the brake side feels no different to be honest. However, need a proper test ride to really be able to say either way.

Mine's a curvy also, I have no idea if this means my result will be any different, however small. Also bear in mind I am 5'nothing, my legs are really short, etc etc.

Went for a quick 25 mile mixed road blat and initial results indicate this was a positive change!

As suspected, fully geared it felt much different. The new position encourages the ar$e back, toes on pegs style riding, and makes it more comfortable. The riding position just feels much more natural rather than before where my feet felt far too forward.

Not sure if its psychological as I cant think of a reason why, but gear changes feel much more positive too.

This is obviously only my results, taller/shorter people will have different results...

Overall, very pleased.

Also after reading the thread on body position and erganomics i feel it does make it easier on the wrists as they encourage more leg gripping and use of the back, so they seem to be a good thing for every sized rider.
