Important Message to the Spearies and all who know Cumfy.... - SV650.org

Hey all,

not been on here for some time and the answer will be very obvious when I give you my news.

Last year my mum started getting ill around September, since then the family have been looking after her while the doctors all scratched there heads.

We have had the answer in the last twenty days and it is not good news. Mum has been diagnosed with terminal cancer primarily in her pancreas and with it having spread to her liver and the lymph nodes in multiple sites. In short it is terminal.

We have literally been moving at 500 mph with getting the news and moving forward with how to make mum most comfortable.

She is currently in ARI receiving the best of care from the staff of the High Dependency Unit and has just undergone major gastric bypass to help give her some relief and hopefully allow her to be a candidate for Chemo.

So although it is not good news, we now know what we are dealing with. She has one of the best possible teams looking after her, with the head of oncology as her chemo director and so many other docs involved also, am sure mum will have the best chances for a comfortable bit of time yet.

The family have had great support offered and some of the Spearies do know, but honestly telling everyone and keeping them updated is knackering and so this is why you are being told here.

So we will keep our thoughts positive and will let you know if anything else major occurs.

Thanks to all my mates who have already offered support, it does truly mean a lot to me - and the family-, even if its to meet up and have a rant about it all(thanks sheps!)

my thoughts are with you, your family and your mother mate.. Make sure you take some time to yourself atleast once a day or you will make yourself ill with stress & worry.

Had me worried that it was even worse news and someone posting on your behalf from your account that something even worse had happened to you.

Very sorry to read this, awful for any family to have to go through. Sorry we're not closer to offer much of a helping hand if needed but still, if needed, gis a shout.
