Hi guys, have just gone to change the bulbs on my curvy 99 dash, and the rear of the clocks has only 1 rubber opening for bulb replacement....
These are a second hand set of clocks and the background lighting to the intruments has never worked for me, so i thought i'd open up and change the bulbs. However, the haynes states, and my old, broken lights confirm, that there SHOULD be rubber grommits on the back, but on this they are solid plastic that is raised where the grommits go on the old ones. Will these hard plastic bits be removable, or am i better of changing bulbs from the front? I only ask, cause i don't fancy taking them too much apart if i don't have to. Unless of course there were clocks made that didn't include backlighting or something, but I find this unlikely.... J |

Hmmm... Strange - these are Curvy 'S' clocks you're referring to, yes?
If so then all the ones I've seen have three rubbers hiding clock illumination bulbs. If yours does not then remove the rear housing, (a few cross head screws), and have a look inside. No need to be concerned over removing it - it's just a cover.
