Dunno about a pointy

But to attach it, use silicon sealant.

Apply sealant and then clamp it in place for a day or more, jobs jobbed.

Neat and no screws required, and any excess can easily be wiped away before it sets, unlike Araldite, which I used on another installation

Silicone all day long, works a treat, just don't use double sided sticky tape as a guide like I did, makes a big gap to fill! And take the front wheel out then the mudguard, been there, tried it, it's the easiest way, much quicker than trying to fiddle it out!

4 bolts to undo . 1 either side externally with 4mm hex key,and then on the other side of the forks,1either side internally using a 10mm ring spanner. Once these are removed rotate the guard forward. Simples.

Then maybe the only way is to remove the front wheel and use the sealant method by clamping it in place with the mudguard in place.

But sooner or later you're going to have to remove the forks to change the oil, so get someone to remove the bolts for you if you haven't got the tools to do it yourself, so you can then remove the mudguard without any problems.

This..... araldite was a waste of time.

just be carefull not to round of the hex bolts that hold the guard on if you do its a nightmare to get them out, I as i had no decent adhesive about just drilled a 1.5mm hole then screwed it on looks fine but im not fussy.
