Default Donate bike parts and kit please.

I'm hoping some of you guys may be able to help.
I work for a forces charity called Mission Motorsport www.missionmotorsport.org, in tandem with The Bike Experience www.tbex.co.uk and Talan we get injured and recovering guys back on bikes.

Talan already uses SV's so they're proven bits of kit that can withstand a beating. Also it means the kits are off the shelf so turnaround time is reduced when fitting the adaptions.

We have just been donated an SV650 S that will be adapted for amputee riders. (Klicktronics System) We are looking to find race fairings, clip on risers, crash protection and any other useful parts that we would need to turn this bike around in short order to get use out of it.

Also we would happily take leathers gloves and boots. Even if you only have one boot it may be of use to us. If the leathers have a broken leg zip it will probably fit an amputee.

Anyway all I ask is, have a look in your sheds and garages and if you think we could use some parts you have laying around (crash repair etc) and if you would like to support these guys, we would be very greatfull if you could spare them.

On the 10th Jun at the Forces / Mission Motorsport track day we had several guys and girls back riding bikes. These included a lad who is paralysed from the lower chest down, a lady who has no use of her right arm. Yep we have a bike that has brake, throttle, gear change and clutch all on the left side of the bars!

One of the lads turned up to watch with a view of doing it in the future, he'd only had his amputation three weeks ago. I turned my back and he was in his wheel chair, in leathers raring to go in the time it took me to pour a brew!

I am still serving in the forces so please PM me for contact info.

Keep em shiny side up

Aston

S'OK

While partly SV related, I think the major factor is the donations aspect, and I think the greatest exposure is here.

Right; I'm off to look through the 'Big Wardrobe Of Rarely Or Never Worn Bike Stuff' to see what you may be able to use...

Great cause. Do you mind if I copy your post on another forum I frequent?

Probably get some response for the kit appeal.

I have some older gloves that are no use to me. They are these http://www.thebikerstore.co.uk/produ...FTMgtAodTFAA3Q, but the linining on one had to be cut out as the fingers came out of their associated holes, and now its been stapled back together at the cuff like frankenstein but your welcome to em

That's novel use of a bicycle toe clip, I hope its not a classic Campagnolo one

Nice work
