Hi guys
Ive just tried to do the TPS reset on my K3 pointy. Had the bike to operating temp with idle set at 1200rpm. Now on the dash the line that should be central at idle, was set down on the lowest point and would only move to the central postion at 3000rpm and to the highest point at around 4500rpm? Whats going onwith my bike?, it feels quite smooth to ride other than loud pops and bangs on the overrun between 3000/4000 rpm it feels fine. is there a different method to the TPS reseton the K3 to the other guides ive seen online? |

I set mine a 2k I found the setting below this was gave me too much lack of control from standing starts due to the increased and immediate response its gives when twisting the throttle.

first thing's first. set the line to the middle.
then turn the throttle to check what revs the line is moving to the top. your aiming at making the line move to the top at 1450rpm when you turn the throttle. if above this then turn the sensor down (its very very sensitive) till the required reading. things to note. you will have to alter the tickover screw while doing it or your tickover will drop/rise. i don't bother looking to set it at any given RPM, instead i set it so when i turn the throttle and the play is taken up in the cables and the revs just start to rise the line moves to the top. tighten the bolt then check again and adjust as necessary. |

I managed to reset this to around 1500rpm after much faffing and cutting out!.
But if anything i think my bike feels worse. I guess to check the throttle body sync is next? |
