Hey Gents/ladies
Can anyone recommend a decent garage to get a full service and a mot done. I'm fairly new to Kent and not sure who's good and trustworthy plus if anyone will pass a delkevic 200mm exhaust. Any advice would be awesome cheers J |

My advice would be to make your bike legal before you take it for an MOT.
We all know many people's bikes are on the fringes of legality - that's the riders choice, don't expect anyone to risk their business giving you an iffy MOT. Unless you already have a very good relationship with them of course - in which case you wouldn't be asking where you might get one. If there's someone willing to risk their MOT licence to pass an illegal bike to any unknown customer I can't imagine they'll appreciate it being broadcast online for anyone and everyone to see.

How far out in Kent are you?
If inside, or just outside the M25, Essential Rubber are good, only issue you may have is the serice, I get my MOTs done there, had other work too, but its not the easiest place to get to/from without transport, but again if my service you mean dropping the oil and plugs and you are happy to sit around for an hour or two, give them a call. +1 on giving your bike a once over yourself before you head there tho.

I get my MOT tests done at Lockyer motors, in Chelsfield.
2 MOT testers, always lots of bikes there. One tester is harsher than the other, but even then both are usually pretty reasonable with you. Servicing - i tend to do myself, so can't guide you there. Considered bribing a forumer who does their own to do it for you? C. |

Lol that's a good idea, the problem I have is six months ago some idiot reversed over my bike and it got wrote off. I bought it back and did a pretty good job of getting it back in perfect order, however I want someone with real knowledge to give it the once over as I am nervous about my own craftsmanship. Once it's been looked at and given the nod I will put it through a MOT and her back on the road.
I'm not worried about my exhaust passing as I have normal ones I can put back on I just want the electronics wheels and fuel pump looked at |

for the £30 for the MOT I'd just MOT it. Remember it's a statutory test of how safe a vehicle is for the road. I tend to MOT any vehicle i'd consider buying just to get it inspected and know it is road safe to a reasonable degree.
If you're not too far away i'll happily take a look for you. Long as the frame is straight, the brakes work properly, the tyres are good and lights work etc, and engine runs you should be fine. Don't doubt your handiwork....There are plenty out there quite happy to do that for you. |

I used EC Bate in Dartford when I had my SV and never had any issues with them.
