Beware of this seemingly pointless addition.
Not that I'm in the habit of flashing people so they can pull out in front of me, I noticed my pass button wasn't working. Seeing as it's there I decided it may as well work and investigated. Long story made short: the button relies on sprung contacts, which wear, so that when you pull it the contacts no longer touch. I re-established the contact by dabbing some hot glue on the back of the little copper contact which sits in the yellow button and sticking it back in, so that it sits far enough out to touch the contact on the opposite side. The parts for the button are miniscule and easy to drop and lose, and very frustrating to refit. I've worked on cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, fishing reels, watches, clocks, boilers, guitars, amps and just about anything that moves and doesn't move. This was deffo top 3 of most annoying little sh*ts to get back together. |

I managed to sort it by turning the brass contactor over so it now wears the other side.

That was my original plan but it was hit n miss whether there was going to be enough hit, so I played it safe.
What a pain in the (p)ass though ![]() |

Yes, it's a right pain. Mine stopped working years ago so I took the button and mechanism off and taped over the opening.
