quiet muffler
I got a new sv650 again. I missed my old one too much. This one has a different than stock muffler, and the bike is very loud.
I'd love to get my bike as quiet as possible. Any suggestions on what to get? My reading so far suggests that a longer muffler will be more quiet, and I've looked at the Delkevic 18" so far. Anyone have any other recommendations ? |

Re: quiet muffler
You can get universal dB killer baffles on eBay, it'll mean drilling a small hole in the end port, if it doesn't have one already

Re: quiet muffler
I've got a Fuel exhaust, is a better sound, but not loud.

Re: quiet muffler
The stock OEM Suzuki exhaust that came on my 1999 SV650 is very very quiet.I took it off as it was too quiet for me but I want to keep it just-in-case.It's so quiet that when I was riding some of my favourite single-track country roads Walkers and Horse Riders couldn't hear me approach until I was on Top of them.I didn't like this and also wanted more of a tone whilst riding.
I've now got a cheap £30 ChinaProvich Slip-on that is not too loud with baffles in but loud enough for me, It will be too loud for you though I think. https://app.box.com/s/50v1t40uzq6mayvxq6edm7cavzd3nxk6 Here's the original OEM, https://app.box.com/s/tzkld9wa7inm7x6lemb8hwcko9jzbxwg Why not put a call out in the,"Wanted" sections as I'm sure there's a lot of owners who will have a stock one they might part with if they have put a Slip-on on

Re: quiet muffler
If there's no baffle, you'll be able to see right down the silencer
