Default My horn fell off!

Yep I was happily ridin when me horn fell off! (Please no smut I can't give anyone a good beep at the moment )

Anyway the point is, I now have no clue of the size of bolt I need to refix my horn. I am not the sort of person that has a bucket of bolts in the garage to try it out, so has anyone got a good idea or a clue of the size of bolt I might need.

p.s. probably makes no difference but I have a K2

Oddly enought mine did this too.

Cant recall the size of the bolt off the top of my head, but when I put mine back together I put a little bit of loctite on the thread to stop it happening again.

A classic case of Coitus Interruptus if ever I heard one (parp!)

it's an M8 thread (standard M8x1.25), the length isn't critical providing it doesn't hit the rad, something like 15mm (it might be 12, but up to 20 would probably be OK).

The std bolt has a flanged head, but a flat washer would do the job.

You don't want to be letting that happen too often!(he says half chewed cigar in hand a la Groucho Marx!)

I was replacing these with st/st bolts yesterday eve (it was raining )
There's a god-awful double bracket affair with 2 bolts... the bracket 1 to bike was 10mm spanner and the bracket 1 to bracket 2 which the horn mounts on needed 12mm spanner. Both around I guess M5 and M6 (?) x 10mm long.
