Default THIS is why you should wear the right gear ...

Apologies if this has already been posted.

The pics here are graphic and will hopefully act as a reminder as to why t-shirts and flip-flops are NOT a good idea on a motorbike!

OMG! I'm not usually affected by this sort of thing but I feel sick... these are the first pics that have got to me.

My Dad works in a hospital near Chichester and often tells me of the injuries to riders.

I usually wear my Timberland boots if riding locally, but now i'll make sure the Sidis are on! Mind you, I over balanced on a bike 4 weeks ago and only had my Timberlands on... when I eventually had an xray last week it revealed I had cracked the bone in my leg... well it's got a nice 'V' shape out of it where the peg caught me.

I'm not normally at all squeamish, but I just don't think I need to look at those, I always wear my gear and have never let a pillion on without proper gear as well.

We all know the dangers but it's good to get a wake up call like these pics from time to time

Thanks for the reminder Howard.
Wasn't one of our nursey members looking for this sort of thing?

Having just eaten something I steadfastly refuse to look at them. However as one who constantly harps on about correct attire and is a member of the No T-shirts and Cut-offs Brigade, I no need no reminding.

For those that do, I have no doubt that the pictures in question are suitably sobering and will hopefully ensure you "always wear your ferkin leathers".

Eeekughh!

At the moment I am only riding 2 miles back and forth to work, but still wear leather jacket, boots and gloves. Must admit to only wearing jeans lately tho.
